    Our client is a modern property law firm based in Watford, Hertfordshire with a clear, dynamic and focussed plan to grow its business.

     

    Having already gained industry recognition based on the hard work of its employees and the great quality customer service they are delivering, we are now looking for an experienced Technical Residential Conveyancing Lawyer to join their business.

     

    The role

     

    You will use latest technology to undertake title investigations, raising enquiries and legal reporting on behalf of the frontline conveyancing teams.

    This is a non-fee earning role, and require you to be able to utilise your Residential Conveyancing experience to its fullest.

     

    The Person

     

    • A minimum of 3 years’ PQE in handling a full range of conveyancing files from inception to completion. With a sound technical knowledge of all conveyancing matters.
    • Experience of managing a practice and managing a team.
    • A pro-active approach towards conveyancing & be looking for new and innovative ways to drive the conveyancing team forward.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • A strong understanding of process techniques.
    • A passion for adopting new technologies that drive efficiency and transparency.
    • An ability to learn quickly, so you can keep pace with one of the fastest growing conveyancing technology starts-ups.
    • A curiosity about technology & innovation and how it can improve customer experience.

    Reporting to the Head of Development, this role will requires the successful applicant to understand the Software Development Life Cycle and contribute as a Business Analyst to ongoing projects.

    The role

     

    The main duties of the role are listed below but are not limited to the following:

    The Person

     

    Essential Skills:

     

    • Provide the bridge  between IT and the Business areas to effectively elicit and communicate requirements
    • Be able to communicate issues and change to colleagues in the business
    • Demonstrable experience in an IT in a support role
    • Able to negotiate and lead teams of people (with support / mentoring from more senior colleagues)
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 – especially excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
    • Use of Power BI or other similar BI reporting tools (ideal but not essential)
    • Demonstrable willingness to learn

     

    Desirable:

    • Degree Educated
    • Business Analyst Qualification

     

     

    The role is primarily to be based at a main group office just outside Leicester, however will require regular travel to their other offices to the northwest of Cambridge (full mileage paid for this).

     

    A full UK Drivers Licence AND own transport is essential.
