Salary range: Up to £40k (depending on experience) + Benefits

This is an OFFICE based role.

My client is a relatively new Law firm, but part of a global family-owned business with a client list of over 35,000 clients. Based in central Manchester, this successful and growing Law firm supports and guides clients covering both contentious and non-contentious legal matters first and foremost to clients within the Group.

In order to meet increasing business demands we are now looking for an additional bright, confident Commercial Solicitor (either NQ or 1 – 2 Years PQE) to join a growing dynamic legal team, to provide commercial advice to a wide variety of clients for one of the Group’s Businesses, which operates throughout a range of different sectors.

The Role

The role requires you to work in a team providing legally compliant advice to clients by telephone and email on Commercial Law matters, in order to support the business needs of the individual clients, highlighting any options and this risk this presents. This position focuses on proactively undertaking cases involving Company Law, Commercial/Civil Queries, intellectual property and Data Protection.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have relevant hands-on Commercial Law experience, and must be able to work in a fast paced but supportive team environment.

Day to Day responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• To provide clients with legally compliant and pragmatic telephone advice to clients predominantly on Company Law, Commercial/Civil Queries including breaches of restrictive covenants, defamation, subject access requests, data breaches, general data protection queries, service occupancy agreements, civil procedures and business to business agreements.
• In each case to analyse the issue, identify any risk and offer the client options to reach a desired outcome.
• To log all advice accurately onto the bespoke internal system, taking ownership and responsibility for ongoing cases.
• Achieve six measured set KPIs to support all clients with quality sound advice in a productive manner within set SLAs in order to provide a first call resolution. This will be predominately call advice and adjusted accordingly by your particular caseload whilst being available for the clients.
• Ensure that personal knowledge of Company/Commercial Law is continually updated.
• To actively own cases to resolution, building rapport and relationships with clients on each interaction.
• To provide clients with supporting information to assist them in the advice provided.
• Refer to Company internal training and legal updates to ensure that advice provided is compliant with our services.
• To undertake and report on client visits as required by the Advice Service Manager.
• Follow internal protocols for managing and escalating cases where applicable and ensure full communication and smooth transition when transferring cases to other specialist teams.
• Carry out other tasks that are deemed necessary by the Management Team.
• To offer the clients options regarding the take up of other products we provide and make such recommendations accordingly.
